Angered
by their father's decision to remarry, three siblings in Kajang, aided
by a male relative, assaulted the 51-year-old man, reported Harian
Metro.
The attack left the businessman with broken ribs and serious injuries. He is now being treated at the Kajang Hospital.
The suspects, aged between 16 and 25, were furious when they found
out that the father had taken a new wife and apparently, passed all his
property to her.
They stormed into the man's house in Bandar Tasik Kesuma on Monday
night and beat him up. The new wife who was with him was not harmed.
With the help of a friend, the father lodged a report at the Semenyih
police station at 5.15am on Tuesday, said Kajang district deputy OCPD
Supt Abdul Ghani Mohamad Ji.
"It is believed that the fight started because the father did not pay
enough nafkah (maintenance) to his family and had a new wife," said
Supt Abdul Ghani.
Police detained the suspects and have charged them under Section 325 of the Penal Code for causing harm.
