Turk beats up lover who wanted to break up

KAJANG: A Turkish man allegedly assaulted his 51-year-old Malaysian lover after she told him she wanted to end their one-year relationship.

The 42-year-old suspect, who works as a cook at a restaurant in Kuala Lumpur, allegedly slapped and threatened his lover to “watch out” twice in the span of two months.

The bad-ending love drama started when the victim told the suspect to move out of their home in Kajang Perdana.

“He got angry and went to the victim’s place on March 10 at about 2.50pm. He started shouting vulgar words and eventually, started beating the woman’s 11-year-old son. She tried to stop him but was beaten as well,” Kajang Deputy OCPD Supt Abdul Ghani Mohamad Ji said.

He added that the incident was repeated about 12 days later.

“This time, he went to the house at about 11.30pm. According to the victim, the suspect had also threatened to kill her.

“Fearing for her life, she decided to lodge a report on Saturday afternoon. The man was arrested at the victim’s place several hours later,” Supt Abdul Ghani said, adding that the suspect tried to resist arrest.

The case is being investigated for criminal intimidation.

Technician dies after acid attack

KAJANG: It was a fatal affair for a technician when he succumbed to his injuries after his wife ­allegedly splashed acid on him for having an affair.

The 48-year-old man, identified as G. Manimaran, died at Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL) – a day after he was purportedly attacked by his 50-year-old wife in Taman Megah, here, on Tuesday.

Kajang police chief Asst Comm Willey Richard said the victim was rushed to the Kajang Hospital by his 19-year-old son at about 2.55am but was referred to the HKL.

Manimaran suffered 60% burns and was warded at the intensive care unit before he died on Wednesday at about 9pm.

Police have reclassified the case as murder and the woman, who works as a waitress, has been picked up to facilitate investigations.

Checks found that the woman too sustained minor burns on her hands.

“She claims that the husband was the one who tried to splash acid on her during the argument.

“She said she managed to fend off the attack and it (the acid) fell on her husband instead.

“We have handed over the evidence to the chemistry laboratory for further examination. We’ll know who splashed the acid,” he said, adding that the suspect was currently remanded until Saturday.

ACP Willey said police believed the attack was motivated by ­jealousy.

Apparently, several days prior to the incident, the woman had checked her husband’s mobile phone where she uncovered the affair.

ACP Willey said, according to the couple’s son, the pair had always fought with each other over the issue.

It was also believed that the woman had tried to make her husband end the three-year relationship but to no avail.

Dads lock horns over their sons

KAJANG: It was a battle of two dads after one of them scolded the other man’s 14-year-old son for riding a motorcycle in Bandar Tun Hussein Onn here.

The men, both aged 42 and working in the IT industry, lived in the same block of flats while their sons were also friends with each other.

Kajang deputy OCPD Supt Abdul Ghani Mohamad Ji said one of the men noticed the two boys riding on a motorcycle in the residential area at about 8pm on Wednesday.

“The man scolded the boy handling the motorcycle because his son was the pillion rider. After the scolding, the boy went home and complained to his father and sister about the incident,” he said.

Angered by how his son was treated, the man brought his 19-year-old daughter along to confront their neighbour about the scolding.

Supt Abdul Ghani said both men then lodged separate reports at the Kajang police headquarters the next day.

“The pillion rider’s father claimed that the other man had injured him with a motorcycle helmet. At the same time, the other man alleged that his neighbour had harassed his daughter,” he said.

Both men have since been remanded for intentionally causing hurt with a dangerous weapon and for outraging modesty.

Siblings bash up father for marrying again and neglecting family

Angered by their father's decision to remarry, three siblings in Kajang, aided by a male relative, assaulted the 51-year-old man, reported Harian Metro.

The attack left the businessman with broken ribs and serious injuries. He is now being treated at the Kajang Hospital.

The suspects, aged between 16 and 25, were furious when they found out that the father had taken a new wife and apparently, passed all his property to her.

They stormed into the man's house in Bandar Tasik Kesuma on Monday night and beat him up. The new wife who was with him was not harmed.

With the help of a friend, the father lodged a report at the Semenyih police station at 5.15am on Tuesday, said Kajang district deputy OCPD Supt Abdul Ghani Mohamad Ji.

"It is believed that the fight started because the father did not pay enough nafkah (maintenance) to his family and had a new wife," said Supt Abdul Ghani.

Police detained the suspects and have charged them under Section 325 of the Penal Code for causing harm.

Cabbie in cricket bat attack

KAJANG: A 31-year-old woman, who drives a taxi for a living, finally reported her abusive husband for physically assaulting her and their 10-year-old son.

The man – also a taxi driver – was apparently under the influence of drugs when he used cricket bat in the latest round of assault that left a deep wound in the boy’s forehead.

District OCPD Asst Comm Ab Rashid Ab Wahab said the 38-year-old man was arrested on Friday morning following a police report lodged by his wife at 4pm on Thursday.

“He started hitting his wife after the couple had an argument around noon the same day. He kicked her and struck her with a cricket bat, in­­juring her head, spine and leg,” he said.

ACP Ab Rashid added that the man then started hitting the child with the bat.

“She told police that he had beaten them several times before,” he said.

The man confessed that he had taken methamphetamine, said ACP Ab Rashid, who added that the case is being probed under Section 324 of Penal Code for intentionally causing hurt with a dangerous weapon.

On an unrelated matter, a 17-year-old petrol pump attendant is being investigated for allegedly having sex with a minor.

ACP Ab Rashid said the police found the boy alone with a 14-year-old girl by the roadside in Semenyih on Thursday.

“When questioned, the girl said they had had sex seven times.

“She claimed her father ‘banished’ her to live with her grandmother in Banting after she was expelled from school in April for disciplinary problems,” he added.

Unhappy living with her grandmother, the girl had been living in a surau for the past two months.

“She stayed at her boyfriend’s house in Kampung Sungai Tangkas when his family was away.

ACP Ab Rashid said that police had contacted the girl’s Indonesian father who did not lodge a missing persons report even after the girl “disappeared” from her grandmother’s house.
