PETALING JAYA: Kajang assemblyman
Lee Chin Cheh is believed to have submitted his resignation from the
Selangor Legislative Assembly Monday.
The announcement is expected to made at a press conference at 5pm.
The PKR politician met de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim at 1pm and tendered his resignation letter at 3pm at the State Legislative Assembly office.
The resignation of Lee, better known as CC Lee in PKR, is believed to be connected to mounting speculation that Anwar is planning to replace Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim as Selangor Mentri Besar.
Anwar needs to be part of the State Legislative Assembly in order to take over the top job.
