The pensioners, identified as 69-year-old Md Nor Md
Lian and 64-year-old Noriah Mat Ani, were said to be walking home to
their flat after grocery shopping at Reko Sentral here.
“They were using the tracks as a shortcut to their flat when they were run over by an oncoming train.
“The couple were thrown some 5m away and landed near a drain,” police sources said.
A witness, believed to be the train operator, lodged a report at 1.25pm.
The bodies were sent to the Kajang Hospital for a post-mortem.
“We will commence investigations into their deaths as soon as we’ve received more information on the case.
“We are recording statements from their children at the district station,” said Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Abdul Rashid Abdul Wahab.
