Stench leads guard to woman’s body in bus

KAJANG: A stench persisting for three days led a security guard to a body of a woman lying in an abandoned bus.

The woman had been dead for at least four days before it was discovered by the guard at 10.30am yesterday, said Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Abdul Rashid Abdul Wahab.

The bus was parked near the Kajang Municipal Council.

He added that a council officer inspecting the chassis number of the bus on Thursday reported that he saw a person sleeping in the bus.

“The woman was dressed in shorts and a red T-shirt. No identification was found on her,” said ACP Abdul Rashid.

He added that forensics officers, who found a towel and short knife nearby, were investigating whether the items were connected to the death.

“Police have not yet determined the cause of death and are investigating if there is foul play,” he said.
