KAJANG: A carjacking led police to uncover multiple crimes that may implicate the so-called “victim” as well.
A 25-year-old man had on Saturday filed a report over a carjacking incident.
The contractor claimed his girlfriend’s Mini Cooper was hijacked when the vehicle was outside the house of his relative at Jalan Kudalari in Country Heights here at about 1.15pm.
The man said he was inside the vehicle when he noticed a Perodua MyVi approaching with a driver and two passengers.
One of the suspects was the victim’s acquaintance, said Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Willey Richard.
“The victim said he once met the suspect during an outing with a mutual friend. Although they never spoke to each other, he remembered the suspect’s face clearly.
“That prompted us to look for the mutual friend who then led us to an apartment in Jalan Ipoh.
“Two suspects were arrested there while another one is still at large. They were among nine men who were arrested that day, he said.
