PETALING JAYA: A policeman who tried to get a motorist to re-park his car ended up being beaten up by a group of assailants today.
"We believe a misunderstanding occurred between the policeman and the group, comprising 10 individuals, when the officer tried to persuade one of the group members to re-park the car in another spot," Kajang police chief ACP Willey Richard said.
The policeman was rushed to Hospital Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in Cheras for treatment after the 6am incident.
He is reported to be in stable condition.
