Blocked drains lead to flash flood at Kajang

KUALA LUMPUR: Blocked drains has led to flash floods in the area around Taman Jasmin, Kajang, earlier today.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department operations deputy director Mohd Sani Harul said the blocked drainage system had caused the one-metre deep flash flood.

“It is a relief that no vehicles were damaged or people were trapped in the incident,” he said when contacted.

Sani said the department received the distress call at about 3.30pm and 14 firemen from Bangi and Kajang stations were deployed to assist the situation.
