KAJANG - Police are investigating two Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR)
events that were held on Tuesday without permit since nomination day for
the Kajang by-election.
Kajang by-election police spokesman
ACP Azisman Alias said the events were among those held by PKR on
Tuesday and Wednesday. However, he did not disclose details of the two
events.
"The cases are being investigated
under the Elections Offences Act," Azisman, who is also Shah Alam
district police chief, told a press conference at the district police
headquarters here today.
He advised political parties to
submit their applications for permits to hold events at least 24 hours
earlier. He also said there has been no untoward incidents in the
campaigning so far. -Sundaily
