National-level open house to be held on Dec 26

SEREMBAN: The national-level Christmas open house will be held at Kajang High School, Selangor, on Dec 26.

 

About 15,000 guests are expected to attend the event which would be held from 2.30pm to 6.30pm, Deputy Information, Communications and Culture Minister Datuk Maglin Dennis D'Cruz said.

“Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and Information, Communications and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim are scheduled to officiate the open house,” he told reporters after attending a children's cultural event organised by the Seremban Forest Heights Christian Association here yesterday.

He said Kajang was chosen for the open house because of its strategic location, allowing access to people from Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Negri Sembilan and Malacca.

Maglin said he would be holding his own Christmas and New Year open house at Dewan Merdeka, Putra World Trade Centre in Kuala Lumpur on New Year's Day from 11am to 2pm.

“My open house is also to celebrate Chinese New Year, Hari Raya and Deepavali. I am doing it in one go. All are invited,” he said. - Bernama
