This matter was previously reported already but it looks like the local authority has not taken the necessary steps to properly resolve this matter. Again, it is shocking that we our Malaysians are so cruel towards animals.
I really hope that this matter can be resolved urgently.
Until the next time, cheers.

Animal lovers lodge fifth police report
KAJANG: Another police report has been lodged against the
defiant Kajang Municipal Council (MPKj) dog catchers who allegedly
continue to abuse the stray dogs they caught.
Animal rescuer T.
Puspa Rani, 35, claimed that despite her repeated calls to the council
to look into the matter, the dog catchers continue to blatantly
disregard the welfare of the dogs.
Puspa said she had captured a
video footage showing the deplorable condition of at least nine dogs,
including two newborn puppies, that were locked in the van for days with
no water and food provided at Taman Kenangan here on Thursday.
“The stray dogs, even newborn puppies that have not learnt to walk yet, were found in the dog catcher’s van.
“The
dog catchers claim that because Kajang has no animal pound they have no
place to store the dogs until they are put down several days later,”
said Puspa after lodging a police report at the Kajang police station on
Saturday.
She was accompanied by more than a dozen animal lovers who also denounced the cruel act.
A total of five police reports have been lodged since Nov 8.
Puspa
claimed that the dog catchers, who are contracted by the council, only
send the dogs to be put down once the van was full with the animals.
“This often leaves the first few dogs to die out of starvation or thirst before they are put down.
“This
is totally unacceptable. How can such a terrible act of cruelty be
allowed? Even if they are to be put down, please don’t let them suffer
so horribly,” she said.
MPKj councillor Tan Boon Wah said they
would hold a meeting with the council’s City Services Department today
to discuss how to handle this matter.
It has been reported that
MPKj had approved the budget for a dog pound to be built last year but
was still looking for land to construct the building.
