On Friday, 2 December 2011 at around 4 pm, Kajang town experienced one of its worse flood. The flood came very suddenly (it was later informed that the Sungai Jelok broke it's banks) and flooded the market and new town area.
It was not like the Bangkok type flood as it receded after a couple of hours although it continued raining. The damages caused by the flood however is quite bad.
MPKj however worked hard to clean up the town the same night but still the signs from the flood are still there all over town.
I will be posting the news about the flood from the various newspapers and it's follow up stories. It even made the headlines in The Star on Saturday.
