Kajang's Old Man restaurant

This restaurant is well known not just in Kajang but elsewhere due to its strong promotions. They have been doing a lot of promotions that have appeared in newspapers, food blogs and even TVs. Recently they have moved to a larger space not far from their original restaurant. I have not been very often to the restaurant as it is packed during the weekends, worse at their old place which is quite small.

Their new place is much larger and occupies 2 shoplots and also the upstairs portion (which is air conditioned).

What we like about the restaurant is their double boiled soup. At least we have a variety here and it's always ready. As we normally dine with 5 to 6 persons, a small serving here can mean each will have a number of bowls. In this case, we had the herbal soup which was not overpowering as quite a lot of restaurants cannot properly estimate the amount of herbs to be used.

This trip however, the soup was not it's usual piping hot and we had to resend it back for reheating. As you can see, no problems in finishing it. Another very nice soup which they have is the shark bone soup.

We also had some fried small fish which is nice and crunchy, pork ribs and mantis prawns. Also, some vegetables of course. The dishes were good and the standard of cooking here is not bad. Not fantastically good but good enough. They have a number of their special dishes which they are famous for such as ebiko fried rice.

The restaurant is located at 5& 7 Jalan Kajang Impian 1/11, Taman Kajang Impian, Bandar Baru Bangi, Kajang. Telephone : 012-345 0575.

Until the next time, cheers.
