Protesters gatecrash Dong Zong EGM

The Star, Sunday August 23, 2015

KAJANG: A group of protesters gate-crashed the Dong Zong building here on Sunday morning in an attempt to stop the EGM from taking place.

The protesters gathered outside the Dong Zong building as early as 8am but were not able to enter.

About 15 minutes before the meeting started at 11am, a few of them used a big cutter to cut the chain, pushed the gate and lifted it up, resulting in the gate to collapse.

The EGM is on-going at the moment.

There is a power struggle in the Chinese education movement and they could face deregistration by the ROS if their affairs are not sorted out.

If Dong Zong is de-registered, all its assets and activities, including the holding of the nationwide examination in all 60 Chinese independent schools in October, will be frozen.
