Veteran journalist dies at 59

PETALING JAYA: Former theSun journalist Aloysius Francis (pix) passed away today at the age of 59.
Aloysius had suffered a heart attack during Sunday mass at the Assumption Church here and was taken to the Assunta Hospital nearby.
He was admitted to the intensive care unit, but died shortly after.
He leaves wife Ann Khaw, and children Joseph, 15, Marie Claire, 14, and Ignatius, eight.
Aloysius, was a school teacher in Terengganu and a state cricketer before moving to journalism. He was a reporter for the New Straits Times in the 1980s before joining the Sports Desk at theSun.
He had also worked at The Star and Malay Mail as a sub-editor.
The wake will be held at the family home in Kajang, with the funeral service on Wednesday at the Holy Family Church in Kajang at 2pm.
