Man slashed to death in brawl

THE NEW STRAITS TIMES

KAJANG: A man was killed after being slashed on the head in a fight with a group of men in Jalan Bukit here on Sunday night.

The unidentified man, believed to be a local in his 30s, was found sprawled by the roadside at 10.30pm by police who went to the scene following a tip-off about the fight.

Kajang police chief Assistant Commissioner Shakaruddin Che Mood said yesterday police had so far arrested three men to assist their investigations.

"The three suspects, aged between 25 and 30, were picked up from three different locations in Kajang.

"We have ruled out robbery as the motive as the victim's valuables were intact."

Police believe revenge might be the motive for the murder.

They are also in the midst of looking for the owner of a motorcycle found next to the victim's body.

Shakaruddin urged those with missing male family members to contact the nearest police stations.
